Who Am I ?
I am Maria Metantomwate, a Physics graduate from IPB University with strong skills in quantitative analysis, system thinking, and problem-solving. I have experience in research at BRIN, working on micromagnetic simulations and translating complex data into meaningful insights.
I have also developed IoT-based projects and participated in robotics competitions, gaining hands-on experience in engineering, teamwork, and practical problem-solving. Additionally, I have basic knowledge of UAVs and experience operating DJI drones.
As a fresh graduate, I am eager to explore opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and data analytics, with a strong motivation to learn, grow, and contribute to impactful solutions.

Beyond Academic
Tutored high school students for the National University Entrance Exam (SNBT), specifically focusing on Mathematical Reasoning. Conducted face-to-face sessions to explain core materials, discuss practice problems, and provide personalized guidance for students facing difficulties.
Served as a Research Assistant at the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) under a one-year full-time contract. Conducted micromagnetic simulations and analyzed large-scale data to identify optimal magnetic material states for memory storage applications. Performed literature reviews, assisted undergraduate thesis research, and participated in weekly research discussions and progress presentations. Utilized Origin, Microsoft Excel, and ImageJ for data analysis and visualization.
Explained laboratory materials and conducted pre-lab demonstrations in over 60 sessions. Assessed approximately 10 students weekly by reviewing work plans, laboratory reports, final exams, and in-lab performance using Google Spreadsheets. Supported student understanding by providing notes, feedback, and detailed corrections on laboratory reports.
Led the non-technical division supporting organizational operations and communication to ensure smooth execution of technical programs. Applied a fundamental understanding of UAV systems to support technical teams during projects and competitions. Managed task distribution, documentation, and administration using Google Drive, Google Sheets, Notion, Microsoft Excel, Canva, and Figma. Contributed as a support team member in national and international competitions through administrative coordination, competition strategy, and limited technical assistance.
Implemented payday and fundraising programs to achieve the division’s annual revenue targets. Generated significant profits from fundraising activities and maintained financial records and documentation for each program under my responsibility. Assisted other staff members in carrying out various organizational programs. Conducted cross-division communication through meetings and organizational capacity-building (upgrading) sessions.
Undertake training in robotics through weekly mentoring sessions, building a strong foundation in both theory and practice. Gained hands-on experience in circuit design and embedded systems using Fritzing and Proteus, and developed projects with Arduino and ESP32 by integrating sensors into functional systems.
What I Did with Team ?
Designed a futuristic city concept featuring a reservoir-based water treatment system, focusing on improving water quality using carbon-based nanotechnology that utilizes rainwater to produce clean water. Developed an appropriate filtration system through literature review of previous scientific journals and discussions with faculty members in the field of nanotechnology. Generated an efficient and effective filtration system concept for future cities and successfully won funding incentives through the proposed idea and design, developed collaboratively as a team in the form of a proposal.
Handled administrative tasks, budgeting, funding and sponsorship proposals, accommodation arrangements, and documentation using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Microsoft Word, Canva, and Notion. Assisted the team in developing competition execution strategies. Possessed a fundamental understanding of UAV systems, enabling effective support for the core team during both the preparation phase and competition.
